It’s been four years since Paul and I went to the snow and we have missed it! There is a winter wonderland at Mount Buller, just three hours from Melbourne but it just felt like too big a task to go with two little ones.
But today, we hit the road with Chloe (1) and Harvey (3), to take them on an adventure and show them snow for the first time and after about 40 ‘I need to go to the toilet’ stops, we arrived.
I have never seen better conditions. Fresh snow has fallen and the sun is shining. I highly recommend coming midweek at the start of spring because it’s quieter, warmer and cheaper as its the end of the season.
In the past, we have stayed at Mt Buller Chalet but this time we have an amazing self contained apartment right next to the slopes. I got organised on the weekend and made a quiche and a pasta to save some money.
We have loads planned over the next couple of days but today, we went to Buller Air Zone for their Jolly Jumper session (for toddlers) and then when Chloe had a nap, Harvey made his first snow man and I got a massage!!
Tomorrow, the boys hit the slopes and Harvey is having a ski lesson and I can’t wait to play with Lolly in the snow and make amazing memories. If you have any questions about taking kids to the snow or about Mt Buller, feel free to email me.
